Air France AF022 – Paris CDG to Los Angeles LAX
(Boeing 777-300ER Business Class)
Route & Aircraft Air France flight AF022 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Los Angeles (LAX) is a classic long-haul transatlantic route, lasting about 11-12 hours. Operated on the Boeing 777-300ER with a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout in business class, it offers direct aisle access and good privacy for every passenger.
Seat & Comfort Seat 10A (window, bulkhead) stands out with extra legroom and a quiet position up front.
The seat converts to a fully flat bed (around 183 cm), with solid padding and adjustable support. Privacy dividers are high but no sliding doors – storage is practical with a large console and compartments. IFE screen is 18-inch HD. Comfort score: 8.8/10 – reliable for an older product.
Service & Crew Crew was friendly and attentive, with a professional French style. Welcome champagne, hot towels, and dine-on-demand flexibility. Bed turn-down was efficient with quality bedding. Service score: 8.5/10 – consistent but not the warmest.
Food & Drinks Catering is a highlight. Welcome Valrhona chocolates set the tone. Starters: Fresh vegetables with asparagus and edamame. Mains: Tender steak with truffle puree or shrimp gratin – flavorful and well-presented. Dessert: Mango cheesecake or fruit platter. Strong wine selection and champagne flow. Food score: 9.2/10 – among the best in business class.
Entertainment & Amenities Updated IFE with plenty of new releases. Good noise-cancelling headphones and paid but stable Wi-Fi. Amenity kit functional (Clarins products). Score: 8.0/10.
Overall Verdict Air France business class on the 777-300ER is a strong transatlantic option in 2026 – excellent food, comfortable seat, reliable service. Great value with Flying Blue points. Compared to SAS A350 on return: Air France wins on catering, SAS on newer seat. Overall score: 8.7/10.

Qatar Airways Qsuites – Business Class B777-300ER
(Doha – Manila, ca. 8 uur)
This review was submitted by a viewer and showcases an excellent Qatar Airways Qsuites experience on the Boeing 777-300ER from Doha to Manila. Once again, Qatar Airways proves why it consistently ranks among the very best airlines in the world.
The Qsuites hard product is outstanding. The fully enclosed suite offers exceptional privacy, a sleek and modern design, and a very spacious layout. The seat easily converts into a fully flat bed with high-quality bedding, making it possible to get real, uninterrupted rest. Storage space is generous, the large entertainment screen is sharp and responsive, and the overall cabin ambiance feels premium and calm.
The food and beverage experience is equally impressive. Meals are beautifully presented and genuinely delicious, feeling much closer to fine dining than typical airline catering. From high-quality mezze and freshly baked Arabic bread to perfectly cooked main courses and indulgent desserts (such as a warm chocolate cake with sauce and ice cream), everything is thoughtfully prepared. The “dine on demand” concept adds flexibility and elevates the experience even further. Drinks are served generously, with a strong wine selection and well-crafted cocktails.
The service onboard is polished, warm, and professional throughout the flight. The cabin crew is attentive without being intrusive and clearly takes pride in delivering a top-tier premium product.
Conclusion:
An outstanding business class experience from start to finish. With one of the best business class seats in the sky, excellent food, and consistently high service standards, this 8-hour flight is a pleasure rather than just transportation. Qatar Airways Qsuites remain a true benchmark in premium aviation.

Turkish Airlines Business Lounge Istanbul (IST) – 2026 Experience
Location & Access The Turkish Airlines Business Lounge at Istanbul Airport (IST) is one of the largest airline lounges in the world, open to Star Alliance business class passengers, Star Alliance Gold members, and select Priority Pass holders (though access can be restricted during peak times). It's located airside in the main terminal – easy to find after security. Massive scale,
but that also means it's a transfer hub magnet.
Design & Space When I walked in, the lounge immediately impressed with its stunning wavy wooden ceiling, modern lighting, and open layout with plants and natural materials. Plenty of seating zones – from cozy armchairs to larger tables – and it feels luxurious and inviting. However, it was visibly crowded during my visit, with almost every seat taken and people standing. Space score: 8.5/10 – beautiful design, but overcrowding is a real issue in 2026.
Food & Drinks This is the standout feature. Live cooking stations offered fresh Turkish classics like eggplant moussaka, white bean stew, and buttered rice pilaf – all made to order and delicious. The buffet had excellent salads, fresh vegetables, cheeses, fruits, and an impressive dessert selection (cakes, pastries, fresh fruit platters). Drinks fridge was fully stocked: waters, sodas, juices, yogurts, plus a solid bar with cocktails and coffee. Food & drinks score: 9.3/10 – easily one of the best lounge caterings worldwide.
Amenities Showers are available (clean and spacious from reports), quiet zones, prayer rooms, and work areas. Wi-Fi was fast and stable. No dedicated sleep rooms or spa, but the sheer variety keeps it interesting. Amenities score: 8.2/10 – functional and diverse, but nothing groundbreaking beyond the food.
Overall Verdict Turkish Airlines Business Lounge in Istanbul remains a top-tier option in 2026 thanks to its massive scale, exceptional food variety, and beautiful design – perfect for long layovers if you can handle the crowds. Great value via Star Alliance status or points redemptions. Compared to Qatar Al Mourjan (more private) or Emirates (more glamorous), Turkish wins hands-down on dining. Overall score: 8.7/10 – food-focused excellence, but visit off-peak if possible.
